Adjectives à fond
Let's paint a picture of French grammar using descriptive adjectives in all their weird and wonderful glory.
French adjectives are tricky for a couple of different reasons.
🤝 Agreement: the vast majority of adjectives have to agree with their nouns in gender and number.
↔️ Placement: most adjectives are placed after their nouns, with some notable exceptions.

Also note that while there are many different types of adjectives, today we're focusing on the most common, complicated, and diverse type: descriptive adjectives.
🤝 Adjective Agreement
With regard to agreement, you need to know that while most adjectives are regular (as explained in 101, above), there are also a few irregular adjectives that even a have an extra form used in very specific constructions.
There are also a number of invariable adjectives.
↔️ Adjective Position
While most adjectives follow nouns, an important few precede nouns. And there are some that can precede or follow depending on their meaning.
The expression bonnet blanc et blanc bonnet is a weird exception to all of the above.
